This a meme that we have started here at Vicariously & Voraciously in attempt to organize our thoughts for all the books we are currently reading. This is so we can update the status of how far along we are in our current reads, how we are liking it so far, and any other general current updates on the books as we read them. Feel free to use this prompt to keep your currently reading status up to date with us! It can be used weekly, once a month, or as often as you like. We love to see what everyone is reading and what they think!
Descendant of the Crane by Joan He
Current Status: 10% (ebook ARC)
Getting a slow start on this one, not sure why…I think I’ve just been a little busier in my free time this week and since this is one I actually have to sit down and read instead of listen to on audio, its taking me a bit more to find the time to set aside to sit down and focus. I do like the way this reads though, and I’m hoping that once I do find some time, that I will fly through it 🙂
Sherwood by Meagan Spooner
Current Status: pg.56 of 475 (Physical ARC)
Still on hold. Working my way through some other ARCs that have publishing dates coming up and since this one was a gift it isn’t as pressing as the others. I’ll eventually get to it though!!!
To Best the Boys by Mary Weber
Current Status: 2% (ebook)
Just got this on my cool new Libby app!! I’m an official library card owner now and let me tell you, its a dangerous addiction looming on the horizon! So many books all there for the grabbing and reading!! I’ve spent wayyyy too much time this week just browsing what they have to offer and got wayyy side tracked this past weekend and devoured two books (Warrior of the Wild, and A Curse So Dark and Lonely). I’m trying to make myself hold off on this one thought until ARCs are caught up and backlogged reviews have been written but its soooooo hard not to pick it up and start reading immediately!!! How does everyone always stay so on task?!! TEACH ME YOUR WAYS!
Traitor to the Throne by Alwyn Hamilton
Current Status: 9% (Audiobook)
.After flying through Rebel of the Sands, I just couldn’t help myself. This is also an audio book though so its nice to have something to listen to while I do chores and as I drive. I like that in the beginning the author gives you a little recap of the first book just to refresh your memory on everything that happened and then jumps right back into the action with Amani being captured and thrown in a jail cell. But as we all know that’s not going to hold her back. I’m excited to see where this goes from here, but I will say that I’m not happy that I haven’t listened to much about Jin yet, he was one of my favorite characters from Rebel of the Sands. Hopefully he gets a lot more book time once I get into this a little more.
How’s your reading week going so far? Any new amazing books you can’t help but spread the word about? What are you currently reading?! I’d love to know!
