Stain by A.G. Howard

Finished!!! I don’t know why this took me so long to read, I guess I kept getting distracted with other books but once I finally put my foot down and set aside the time to get some of this big book conquered next thing I knew I was almost finished. I ended up absolutely LOVING this book!!!!! I’m working on the review right now so I won’t say too much here but this was such a dark and lovely fairy tale and now I only wish that there was more!!! I’d love to reread this sometime just to dive back into this world and these characters. I might have to give some of A.G. Howard’s other books a read now!!!
Sherwood by Meagan Spooner

On Hold. I haven’t read anymore of this in the last week due to other ARCs that weren’t gifts that I have to get read ASAP since they are all published this week!! AHHH! They all kind of snuck up on me when I wasn’t paying attention! I’ll be playing catch up for a week or two now. Oh well, all in the love of books right?!
The Bird King by G. Willow Wilson

So I’m at a crossroads with this book. It seems like maybe it could get interesting but how long before it gets to where I don’t want to stop every other paragraph and quit? Its just soooooooo slowwwwwwww and while I’m not opposed to slower reads, there’s just nothing in the beginning of this book that begs to be read. It seems like its going to be a very technical and dry which puts me off. I just can’t seem to find that bit of interest to hold on to for this one, so unfortunately if it doesn’t pick up here soon it might end up being a DNF.
Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton
Current Status: 98 % (Audiobook)
Grabbed this one from my library off the Libby app on a whim the other day to have something to listen to while driving, and OMG I CAN’T STOP!!!! Why haven’t I gotten into these books sooner?!!! Only problem, the rest of the audio books aren’t available through my library so looks like I’ll be buying the rest… it will be worth every penny if they are as good as the first book! This is the kind of story I want that sweeps me off my feet and refuses to be put down!!! Its hard to read other books that aren’t what I’m craving when there are books like this out there just begging to be read.
