Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian

Current Status: pg. 101 of 433

This is a reread for me since the second book, Lady Smoke comes out today actually! I remember most of it since I only read it last year, but I have the audiobook still so I figured it would be nice to brush up on the details before continuing on with this series. This was one of those books that surprised me last year, I wasn’t really sure what it was about and if I would like it or not, but I ended up really enjoying it. It was a fast and fun read and so I’m looking forward to finding out what happens in the second installment in this series!

Ship of Smoke and Steel by Django Wexler

Current Status: pg. 18 of 352

This one just sounds amazing. I have only just begun reading it and already I have a feeling its going to be a favorite. Its so different from everything that I’ve been reading so it will be nice to have a change of pace.  Not to mention, how badass does that cover look?! I have been staring at this book for the last week just waiting to dive in, because I know this is one that will consume my every waking thought!!! AHH! I’m finally pretty caught up on all my ARCS right now, so looks like this is going to get a chance to make the cut! Can’t wait to be able to give you all a better update on how much I’m loving it :)!!!

Spectacle by Jodie Lynn Zdrok

Current Status: 40% (ebook ARC)

Okay, so this is a tough one. While I am really enjoying the story, and it has definitely got me interested in whats happening, its also soooooooo sloowwwwwww. I keep reading for a while to check and see how much progress I’ve made to only have read about 2% more. Maybe its the fact that its an ebook so I can’t go by page numbers but it feels like this is dragging more than it should. Especially since its the kind of book you would expect to fly through with a murderer on the loose and weird things amiss! Hopefully the second half of it picks up so I can read it without dozing off every other chapter.
