This a meme that we have started here at Vicariously & Voraciously in attempt to organize our thoughts for all the books we are currently reading. This is so we can update the status of how far along we are in our current reads, how we are liking it so far, and any other general current updates on the books as we read them. Feel free to use this prompt to keep your currently reading status up to date with us! It can be used weekly, once a month, or as often as you like.  We love to see what everyone is reading and what they think!

40367270Four Dead Queens by Astrid Scholte

Current Status: 2% (ebook)

Just finished all of my books I was currently reading over the weekend and last night so now I’m starting a whole new batch! I got this book in an Owlcrate book box and then also rented the ebook from the Library so I’m going to try and finish this one before the Library book is due! So far I really like the world building and the different kingdoms and how each is unique in the way its ruled and what they value most. I have a feeling I’m going to really love this book because it is so detailed and well written so far!

38101643The Raven’s Tale by Cat Winters

Current Status: 8% (ebook ARC)

Ahhh I love Edgar Allan Poe!!! I’m excited to get into this more since its not your average Poe story but more of an ode to his teenage years. I hope it still manages to keep its dark and twisted macabre side to it that defines Poe, because that is what he is all about! I’m also interested to see how it plays out with the history of a well known poet and author as the main character.

30238163Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody

Current Status:  50% (audio book)

This is actually a reread (relisten?) while preparing myself to get started on King of Fools here soon before its published! I really liked this book the first time around but the ending was a little fuzzy so I’m brushing up on the details so I can dive into the next book with it all fresh on my mind!!!

Let’s Discuss

How’s your reading going here lately? Anything keeping you from reading all you had planned? I feel like Spring is when everyone tends to start getting really busy. The holidays are almost over and so its back to business! I have had a lot of nannying/ babysitting jobs here lately but I always enjoy those because I get to read once the kids are napping or in bed for the night. Its always a good time to have the quiet atmosphere to really get a lot of reading done. When do you tend to read the most? Is there a certain spot in your house or at a coffee shop? I’m horrible reading in public because just about everything catches my attention so I like to have my certain spots at home. I’d love to know what works for you all though! Let me know!
