You guys, April 10 is National Sibling Day (in the US) and it is one of my favorite unofficial holidays. And in honor of my love for my brother and sister I decided to do a tag. Now I hope that no one gets offended by the themes that follow any of the tags! They aren’t meant to be derogatory, just simply, well you know cliche. This is pretty much my first book tag segment, I hope I’m doing it right >_<

The One and Only

A standalone book that gets all your love

25883848The Hating Game by Sally Thorne

I am a huge fan of hate to love books, and this one has got to be one of my favorites. Yes, right up there with Pride and Prejudice. This is one of my go-to books that I recommend to my friends when they are wanting a book to read. Not everyone of them could appreciate a YA fantasy, but I know they would all love a rom-com. My copy of this book has been passed around so much I had to use box tape to keep the cover in tact, and I don’t even mind.

The Oldest Sibling

The book/Series that sets the bar

23395680The Illuminae Files by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

This book blew my mind with how creatively put together it was. Gemina took it up a whole notch adding in the journal entries. The fact that by the end you feel like you get a full experience from the book is phenomenal. Don’t even get me started on how fantastic the audio versions are. After reading this book, I’m afraid nothing will entertain me so fully as these books have.

The Middle Sibling

A second book in a series that hyped you more onto a series

17927395

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

I don’t know how to express how much more I like ACOMAF more than ACOTAR. After you get into the sequel it’s so painful reading the first book. It’s not because it’s bad, but just because you are just so excited to get to the second one.

The Youngest Sibling

The last book you read

34726469Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young

Yo this book was so good. Sometimes when I receive an ARC I am so let down that I have resulted to just have zero expectation. I couldn’t keep in the excitement for this book and was so happy I wasn’t let down. It comes out on 4/24/18 so my review is not posted yet, but I can already tell you it will probably be a 5 star.

The Age Gap Sibling

A book that took you forever to finish

31829155Red Winter by Annette Marie

According to my Goodreads account, I started this book in November 30, 2017 and didn’t mark it read until February 10, 2018. Now, don’t get me wrong, it was an excellent book. The beginning just didn’t catch my interest so I set it aside for a really long time. Turns out I just had to get past the first 75 pages, but after that I was hooked. I really need to finish this series.

The Twins

Favorite duology

23299512This Savage Song & Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab

These two books utterly destroyed me! This Savage Song was actually my first Victoria Schwab book, and man was I hooked. When I first read Our Dark Duet it took me almost a week to recover before I was ready to put my feelings

The Step Sibling

A book that someone forced on you

The Fault in Our StarsThe Fault in our Stars by John Green

I think the biggest problem with this book for me was the hype. So much hype between the book and the movie. Because of all that hype and having had seen the trailer, etc, it was utterly ruined. I mean it was sort of predictable too. I didn’t wan to read this book, but basically had to promise a coworker I would read it last year. I pretty much made it my last book of the year….just to keep my promise.
