Thank you so much to  The Plot Monster for a Liebster Award nomination! Find her original post here and more about the 2018 Liebster Award Nominations at The Global Aussie.

It’s really touching to be thought when people are thinking of blogs to nominate. As many bloggers know, running a blog is quite a lot of work. I honestly had no idea what I was really in for when I first started.

The Rules per The Global Aussie:

–Link to this blog post in your Liebster Award blog post
–Answer the questions given to you (if nominated, if you were not nominated you can use my questions)
–Create more questions for your nominees to answer (I’m looking for unique and creative ones)
–Comment on this blog post with a link DIRECTLY to your Liebster award. To make it easy for me to read them all.

Entries start 1st Jan 2018 and ends on 25th Dec 2018. The winner will be picked on the 31st of December.

My Answers

What’s the worst book you’ve ever read?

31409118

Stealing Candy by Stewart Lewis

Poor writing and a lead character that reacted to being kidnapped rather poorly. In fact, it’s a really, really bad book for any girl to read that could set up an expectation that a young girl could actually be relatively safe in a situation like this, and you know find romance out of it to boot! I was only able to push through because I received it as an ARC. Otherwise it would have been a big DNF.

What’s the best book you’ve ever read?

Gemina (The Illuminae Files #2) by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

I’m not sure how much I can express how awesome I think these books are. After blowing through the first one I was skeptical to think that the second was even better. My initial reaction was “DUUUUDDDDEEEE THIS IS AMAZING!” Anyway, it’s my go to suggestion for anyone these days who asks me what to read.

What’s your earliest memory?

Not sure if it’s my earliest, but at the moment it’s the only thing I can think of right now. We had a “western” day in class and I was ridiculously ecstatic that I was able to bring my stuffed horse head on a stick to school. I thought I was pretty awesome.

Where does your mind travel just before sleep?

I am prone to shutting off my alarm in the morning. So I am always checking to make sure my alarm(s) are on with the perfect volume. I then think of what is the absolute latest I can get up so that I can get ready for work.

What cartoon character would you like to see as a political candidate?

Sailor Moon forever!

What’s the best thing you’ve learned or experienced from blogging?

You have to be active, and not just in the fact that you’re posting frequently. But that you are interacting with other bloggers, authors, photographers, and overall users, because you are nowhere without them!

If you’re not blogging what are you doing?

Working. I’m a workaholic. I wasn’t satisfied spending my time reading in my freetime because I felt like I was unproductive so I picked up a second job…for fun. When I’m not doing either of those I am working on my family homestead which is a ridiculously large garden, greenhouse, berry patch, and chickens! Work, work, work!

Do you read the book before seeing the movie or after?

I prefer to read the book first! However, if I am just on the fence or it’s not my normal genre I will watch the movie first.

What would the title of your autobiography be?

Scrilla, There and Back Again

LOTR/Hobbit stuff are some of favorites and I say the name of Bilbo’s book all the time. In fact I am constantly referring to movies all the time.

What’s the last record/album/mp3 you bought?

Hailee Steinfeld  (featuring Florida Georgia Line)- Let Me Go

I absolutely ADORE her!
