Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Guardians of Dawn by S. Jae Jones

Sooo. I absolutely hated Wintersong. It really, really wasn’t for me. As much as I love me some Sailor Moon I am hesitant to pick up more from this author.

Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi

I liked the first book okay. I just don’t feel like I am invested in the characters and the plot. I wasn’t a big fan of the romance, and that is a big factor to me.

The Night Country by Melissa Albert

I wanted to like The Hazel Wood a lot more. The entire concept was great, however the execution did get a little weird, and I wasn’t a fan of how it ended really….There isn’t even a synopsis for this book yet.

Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson

Is this book just on my list because of the cover? The synopsis sounds great, but so did her previous book…and I found that one a little boring.

Courting Darkness by Robin LaFevers

I am pretty sure I would want to read the other books before jumping into this. But I want to be in on the fun for this release…Not sure if I should go in without the other books though.

Kingsbane by Claire Legrand

I liked the idea in the first book, but didn’t like the execution of the story. I will probably end up audiobooking this so that I can listen to it at 2x speed to get through it in case it is slow like the last one.

Call It What You Want by Bridid Kemmerer

I loved Leters to the Lost, but saw some poor reviews for the book with the same characters. I am honestly afraid of just being let down…though I didn’t even read the other one?

The Raven’s Tale by Cat Winters

I was never a HUGE Poe fan, but I am at least familiar with The Raven..But this cover!

The Deepest Blue by Sarah Beth Durst

I was disappointed by her last book, but I love the original series, well at least the first book and want to finish it. So this one is set in the same world..but is a stand alone…

The Deceiver’s Heart by Jennifer Nielsen

How much do I want to gamble that this will make up for the last book? Because..I really didn’t care for it…but am curious to see where it goes? Hopefully this one is written better?

Okay, that was a little hard coming up with books that I wasn’t sure if I wanted on my TBR. Some of them are already on there, but I just don’t know if I want it to stay there.
