Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Jay Kristoff

Since having finally read The Illuminae Files and then LifeL1k3 this year, I am officially a Kristoff fan now. His writing is nothing short of brilliant and entertaining. I can only imagine the conversations to be had in person. I am eager to read the rest of the books he already has published as well as those that are on the horizon.

Mary E. Pearson

I am also a recent fan of Mary E. Pearson, and after reading her books The Remnant Chronicles I have found a love for her writing. We recently did a giveaway for her books and she was amazing commenting on our posts, and liking our photos! She was awesome in how she took the time to reach out to her fans. I am currently reading her newest book, Dance of Thieves and I’m  loving it so far!

Amanda Foody

I have only read one of Amanda’s books so far, Ace of Shades but I do plan on picking up the next in that series as soon as it comes out. I also have had my eye on Daughter of the Burning City for a while, and being a huge fan of books about carnivals, I’m honestly surprised that I haven’t read it yet!

Sarah J. Maas

I think I would have to be crazy not to want to meet SJM! THE QUEEN! I would sit around and let her tell me stories for the rest of my life if she would have me! I am in love with many of her characters, I have an unhealthy obsession with Rowan from Throne of Glass and Rhysand is a close second from A Court of Thorns and Roses. I would probably just blab on and on until she finally kicked me out of her vicinity though if we are being honest, because I would have soooo much to say to her!

Stephanie Garber

So just look at that smile and tell me you don’t instantly want to be her best friend. I loved Caraval and Legendary, and if given the chance I would probably do anything to get my hands on Finale!!! For being her debut novel she has really done such a fantastic job at pulling her readers into such a magical and romantic world. And of course, I’m all here for the carnivals!

Leigh Bardugo

So Leigh Bardugo has been one of my favorite authors for a long while now. I first fell  in love with her writing after reading Shadow and Bone. And then she continued on in her beautiful Grishaverse with Six of Crows, and that did me in on a whole new level. I remember waiting for the next books in her series like they were the air I needed to breathe. There is just something about the worlds that she creates that speak to my heart. I want to be a Grisha! Just to be in her presence would be so surreal and amazing and like a dream come true. One day I will meet her and thank her for all her amazing books and characters!

Maggie StiefvaterMaggie Stiefvater

Another author that has been an auto buy/read on just about every book she’s ever written. Maggie just seems like such a cool person to be around. If you ever look at her bios you’ll notice she’s so much more than just an author. She dabbles in so many other hobbies its insane! From cars, to music, and so much more! I think my favorite of her works was The Scorpio Races, followed closely by The Raven Boys series.

Victoria SchwabVictoria Schwab

I am thoroughly convinced that this woman can write just about anything and make it sound like a masterpiece. From adult, to YA to Middle Grade, she flows from one audience to the next with ease and I am here to gobble up every single word. Shades of Magic books were absolutely amazing, and then with her Villains series just now releasing its second book and City of Ghosts also recently published, you can’t turn your head without seeing some of Schwab popping up everywhere, and its so wonderful!! I love her writing and meeting her would probably end up with me getting evicted yet again, but oh so worth it!

Pierce BrownPierce Brown

I don’t have many male authors on this list, but you better believe this intelligent and also amazingly attractive man has made the list! Not only is he an incredible writer, but my gosh I am his number one fan. He loves his dog, and seems really down to earth, which is strange since most of his books take place on other planets 😉 But after finally getting into Red Rising this year, I can see what all the hype is about.

Marie LuMarie Lu

Yet another author that you literally can’t go wrong no matter what book of hers that you decide to read. I started out reading her Legend series, which were so so good. And then she grabbed me again with Warcross! I have Wildcard waiting for me on my bedside table just begging to be read. Her writing is one of those that you fall into and it feels like you never left. To be able to sit and talk to her about her characters would be something that I would never forget.

Let’s Discuss

Obviously, there are so many great authors! Would you want to meet the ones on my list? Who would you like to most meet? Let me know in the comments below!
