This a new meme that we are starting here Vicariously & Voraciously in attempt to organize our thoughts for all the books we are currently reading. This is so we can update the status of how far along we are in our current reads, how we are liking it so far, and any other general current updates on the books as we read them. Feel free to use this prompt to keep your currently reading status up to date with us! It can be used weekly, once a month, or as often as you like. We love to see what everyone is reading and what they think!
Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas

This is definitely a slow start for me. I am into it, and remembering so much about it but life has taken over and I now need to kick it into high gear if I’m going to get these read before it gets too late after KOA is released. (I actually already got my pre-order in the mail earlier this week!!! EEP!) So this is going to be a top priority now.
Dance of Thieves by Mary E. Pearson

I’m still in the exact same place in this book. Still. I think I might end up getting the audio book version of this so I can prompt myself to listen to it while I’m doing other things like driving or chores around the house. Its just so convenient to be able to listen to a book rather than take the time to sit down and read. Hopefully that will help me get going on this buddy read so I’m not left in the dust!
Escaping From Houdini by Kerri Maniscalco
Current Status: 95% (audio book)
Okay, I’m going to start off by saying that OMG this series has blown me away. This is where all of my reading time has gone. I started Stalking Jack the Ripper last week and I’m currently almost finished with the third book now. I am so helplessly in love with Thomas Cresswell and the dynamic duo of Thomas and Audrey Rose. The banter between them is perfect and has me laughing and swooning at every instance they are together. Not only that but the plot and the Sherlock Holmes feel to the mysteries these are written around makes it so hard to stop reading (or listening in this case). I have been staying up way too late just to finish these because my curiosity to find out who-dunnit is more important than sleep at this point! I’ll definitely have this book finished by the end of today, and now I’m sad that I have to wait for the next book!
What are you currently reading? Do we have any books in common? October is such a fun time to snuggle up and read with a warm drink and a cuddly blanket, and in my case, my dog! Does the change in seasons put you in a reading mood as well? Let me know what you’re reading below!
