Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas

Aghh! This book is so good, I want to fly through it but I also want to make it last.. There is so much that I forgot from last year when I read it the first time. I love doing rereads for that exact reason, you notice so many small details that seemed to just pass on by the first time around. This is going to be a really intense and amazing reread and I am so here for it all!! I am expecting to get through this one rather quickly now that I have my ARC out of the way and I’m almost finished with my other current reads.

I DID IT!!!! AHH! I finally finally FINALLY finished this book!!! My gosh it took everything I had to get to that last page and I can feel the weight of the world lifting off my shoulders! I will say though, the ending brought this book to life for me. I was so uninterested until finally at the end things started to come together. Its a shame that it took so long to get to that point though because I actually really enjoyed the last 25% of the book. I might even have to give the next book a shot if only to find out what happens to these characters that took over a month of my life.
Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan

Ah this beautiful book!! You know its weird, I have read plenty of diverse books with all sorts of different characters, but I don’t think that I’ve ever read a book with a sapphic main character. Mostly all of the books I’ve read have LGBQT side characters, but never the MC. I have to say that even though I’m as straight as they come, there’s such a sweet connection between the two girls in this romance. They have me falling in love right with them and I can’t get enough! I love the way it is intimate yet empowering all at the same time. After having been in a slump for the whole first half of this month, I really needed this book. It has brought me from the depths of despair and rekindled my fire to read. And I’m devouring this book as a result! Hoping to finish sometime today and bask in the awesomeness of this story. Give me all the feels!
