Skyward by Brandon Sanderson

Current Status: pg. 510 of 510

I finished!!! SOOOO GOOD!!! I highly recommend to anyone and EVERYONE who hasn’t read this to go pick it up right now and start!! I don’t exactly know what about it that has me so in love with this book, but the writing was amazing, the characters are awesome, the story is addicting… its just so damn good!! I’ll have a review up here soon so keep your eyes out for that!

Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto

Current Status: pg. 496 of 496

Apparently I was on a roll last week and I devoured this book as well. It actually started off really slow but about half way through picked up and there was no turning back from there! I ended up really enjoying it and what at first seemed like it was going to be a lackluster book very quickly ended up being something really good! I will also have a review up for this book here soon so keep those eyes peeled!

The Waking Forest by Alyssa Wees

Current Status: 67% (ebook ARC)

Finally got going on this book, and while I’m a little over half way through I’m finding this book to be really different. I like the mystical mysterious and fantastical tone to the writing, but then again there comes a point when you just want to know what the heck you’re reading without all the metaphors and creative descriptions. I’d definitely say this is a case of the purple prose and while most of the time that doesn’t bother me, for some reason it is now. Maybe its also a little bit of an unreliable narrator causing me to distrust all I’m reading but I just feel like I’m missing something. Hopefully it will all clear up towards the end of the book though!!!

The Pioneer by Bridget Tyler

Current Status: 1% (ebook ARC)

Another new ARC to add to the list for upcoming reads, I’ll be starting this one in the next day or so, and therefore I’m adding it to the list. I’ve been in a big sci-fi mood since finishing Skyward and I’m hoping that this will cure that craving. It sounds good and so far the reviews I’ve seen for this book have been great. I’m hoping for another good read coming up 🙂 !!
