This a meme that we have started here at Vicariously & Voraciously in attempt to organize our thoughts for all the books we are currently reading. This is so we can update the status of how far along we are in our current reads, how we are liking it so far, and any other general current updates on the books as we read them. Feel free to use this prompt to keep your currently reading status up to date with us! It can be used weekly, once a month, or as often as you like. We love to see what everyone is reading and what they think!

My first Brandon Sanderson book you all!!!! AND OMG ITS AMAZING!!! I started this one right after finishing Ship of Smoke and Steel, and I haven’t been able to put it down since, needless to say this has put all my other books on hold for the time being because I am completely caught up in this story. I love everything about this book so far and I think I’ve found a new favorite author. I’m tempted to grab his other books after finishing this one and devouring them all as fast as I can! While this is a good thing, its also not good for alll the arcs I have waiting that need to be read. I’ll just have to reign myself in for long enough to finish a couple of them before I jump back into the wonderful world of Sanderson!
Ship of Smoke and Steel by Django Wexler

So I put my nose to the grind and made some time for this awesome book. And I’m really glad I did, because once I got into it, it was really hard to put down. I ended up really thinking this was a unique and awesome read. I don’t think I’ve ever read anything like it before and I’m definitely looking forward to the next in the series to see where it goes from here. I should have a review posted for this here in the next day or so, so keep your eyes open for that!

Still needing to get going on this one, bascially Skyward has taken over my life while I’ve been home sick with the flu the past few days. I was hoping to get a little more reading done, but oddly enough its hard to sit and focus when you feel like crap. I’m on the mend today though and hopefully will be better here soon so I’ll be jumping back into this one asap! I’m excited to read it though because it does look and sound so interesting so I’m sure once I actually get into it, I’ll be hooked!
Let’s Discuss
Have you all read any of these books? Unfortunately I’ve been cursed with the flu for the past three days and its been really hard to read and focus, do you all get the same way when you’re under the weather? What tricks do you use to keep up with your reading when you’re not at your best? I’d love to know!
