This was originally made by Lost in a Story, and is such a fantastic idea. Here are the instructions:

Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
Order on ascending date added.
Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
Read the synopses of the books
Decide: keep it or should it go?

The Books:

11671012Book #41

Howl’s Moving Castle (Howl’s Moving Castle #1) by Diana Wynne Jones

Date added: March 28, 2016

This is one of my all time favorite films, Studio Ghibli does such a wonderful job creating such magical movies. I don’t even need to read the synopsis to know I still want to read the original book.

THE JUDGEMENT: Keep

16059149Book #42

Magnolia (Magnolia Branch #1) by Kristi Cook

Date added: March 30, 2016

This screams the hate-to-love trope as well as a HEA…so I mean despite the fairly lame cover I am still entirely interested in reading this. Bring on the cute melodrama.

THE JUDGEMENT: Keep

16067180Book #43

Being Sloane Jacobs by Lauren Morrill

Date added: March 31, 2016

Don’t judge but I need to have several cute, fluffy YA contemporaries on my list to help buffer the density of fantasy books. Sometimes I just need a break, and books with zero substance like this are usually the ticket.

THE JUDGEMENT: Keep

7445Book #44

The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls

Date added: April 1, 2016

So a lot of reviews say this memoir reads like fiction. But to be honest. It’s still not my genre. Even the movie trailer doesn’t spark my interest. I mean, maybe on a rainy day when I am in the right mood. But I already know, this ain’t my cup of tea, no matter how moving.

THE JUDGEMENT: Go

16131484Book #45

The Infinite Sea (The 5th Wave #2) by Rick Yancey

Date added: April 10, 2016

So I went back and read my review of the first one, it was at a time in my life when I didn’t really do full reviews, but apparently when I finished the book I wanted to read the second. Word on the street though is that the series ends bad. But, can I really trust everyone else? What if they are all aliens trying to get me not to read it? For curiosity’s sake we will at least go with an audiobook.

THE JUDGEMENT: Keep

Starting TBR shelf total: 438

Total books kept:   4 out of 5

This week’s DTTBRH is brought to you by ugly book covers.

I’m Curious  \ ^_^ /

What do you think of my decisions? Have you read any of these books?
