This was originally made by Lost in a Story, and is such a fantastic idea. Here are the instructions:
Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
Order on ascending date added.
Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
Read the synopses of the books
Decide: keep it or should it go?
The Books:
Book #36
The Blood Gospel (The Order of the Sanguines #1) by James Rollins & Rebecca Cantrell
Date added: March 4, 2016
How did this book even show up on my tbr list in the first place? A part of me wants to read it because it makes me think of Indiana Jones…but not. I’ll be honest though, if I got this book I would never read it unless I had nothing else.
THE JUDGEMENT: Go
Book #37
The Forbidden Wish (The Forbidden Wish #1) by Jessica Khoury
Date added: March 6, 2016
Aladdin retelling. Enough said.
THE JUDGEMENT: Keep
Book # 38
The Girl Who Never Was (Otherworld #1) by Skylar Dorset
Date added: March 6, 2016
Reading the synopsis makes my head spin. There is so much going on in just that little blurb that I am already overwhelmed but my eyes are glazing over already. Not so normal girl is a fairy princess slash ogre with a prophecy with people trying to kill her, etc etc. Nah, I’m okay.
THE JUDGEMENT: Go
Book #39
Thief of Lies (Library Jumpers #1) by Brenda Drake
Date added: March 17, 2016
Jumping into books/libraries through pictures or whatever? Potential love triangle? Duh, I’m in.
THE JUDGEMENT: Keep
Book #40
A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy) by Deborah Harkness
Date added: March 24, 2016
Reading the synopsis of this book sort of made me cringe, but something about it makes me want to read it. I honestly think it’s the vampire thing and I am just not in the mood for vamps right now. But so many people went apeshit for this book! ERRRGG, decisions decisions!
THE JUDGEMENT: Keep
Starting TBR shelf total: 440
Total books kept: 3 out of 5
Yay! I got rid of two!
I’m Curious \ ^_^ /
What do you think of my decisions? Have you read any of these books?
