The Books:
Book #241
The Art of Feeling by Laura Tims
Date added: May 16, 2017
So this book looks like it would be cheesy as hell. But it has gotten some high star ratings from some hard rating friends, so I have high hopes. On top of that it’s said to have some great mental illness rep included. So I am game.
THE JUDGEMENT: Keep
Book #242
Traitor’s Blade (Greatcoats #1) by Sebastien de Castell
Date added: May 16, 2017
I’ve actually started this book and got too bombarded with books at once that I set it aside so I can focus on it fully at a different time. Yes, I still want to read it. It promises for some adventure and potential swashbuckling. I’m all game.
THE JUDGEMENT: Keep
Book #243
Blood of a Thousand Stars (Empress of a Thousand Skies #1) by Rhoda Belleza
Date added: May 19, 2017
So after reading the first book that I clearly liked I was apparently excited to continue the story. The sad thing is even after reading a few reviews of the first book, I still don’t even remember what it was about. So I think I am going to pass up on finishing this book, because clearly my interest is lacking.
THE JUDGEMENT: Go
Book #244
Winter Glass (Spindle Fire #2) by Lexa Hillyer
Date added: May 27, 2017
Again, I remember being super stoked on the first book…but I can’t remember what it’s about. At this point I can really care less either. I feel so mean saying I don’t care…but I just don’t.
THE JUDGEMENT: Go
Book #245
Age of Swords (The Legends of the First Empire #2) by Michael J. Sullivan
Date added: May 27, 2017
I really enjoyed the world building in the first of this series. It was my first Sullivan but I am definitely liking his epic fantasy writing. So I am here to keep going, if the story is slow like the first book though I may quit. I love vast world building, but I can’t just keep pushing through tomes that have little going on.
THE JUDGEMENT: Keep
Book #246
Daughter of the Siren Queen (Daughter of the Pirate King #2) by Tricia Levenseller
Date added: May 27, 2017
Why haven’t I read this yet?? I absolutely adored DOTPK and I know I just want to reread it before I get to this one. Plus I am meeting Tricia Levenseller in Seattle next month. I can’t wait!
THE JUDGEMENT: Keep
Book #247
Love & Luck by Jenna Evans Welch
Date added: June 1, 2017
I completely adored Love & Gelato, and can’t wait for another whirling summer ya contemporary only this time set in Ireland. I love traveling so I love the way Jenna writes and describes the surroundings so well without it being drowned.
THE JUDGEMENT: Keep
Book #248
Girl out of Water by Laura Silverman
Date added: June 2, 2017
Saving this for a summer read. I mean it screams summer read. Nothing like a little heartwarming while basking in the warm sun.
THE JUDGEMENT: Keep
Book #249
Mr. Right Swipe by Ricki Schultz
Date added: June 2, 2017
I feel like this is the type of book that I would sit down to read and finish in less than 24 hours. One because I love romantic comedies. This will hopefully be super easy to read, and wildly entertaining.
THE JUDGEMENT: Keep
Book #250
The Thing with Feathers by McCall Hoyle
Date added: June 2, 2017
Uhm, yes, a heartfelt ya contemporary about a girl breaking out of her shell into public school despite her medical fears. Let’s push those boundaries. Bring on the feelings.
THE JUDGEMENT: Keep
