This was originally made by Lost in a Story, and is such a fantastic idea. Here are the instructions:
Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
Order on ascending date added.
Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
Read the synopses of the books
Decide: keep it or should it go?
The Books:
Book #146
Scythe (Arc of a Scythe #1) by Neal Shusterman
Date added: December 3, 2016
I feel like I am one of the last ones to read this, but I am curious about this pseudo fantasy/dystopian read about people who have to kill people.
THE JUDGEMENT: Keep
Book #147
The Dragon Hunter and the Mage (Wounds in the Sky #1) by V. R. Cardoso
Date added: December 3, 2016
This sort of feels like it might be closer to a middle grade book. I’m not sure if its just because the blonde boy on the cover makes me think of the little British actor in Love Actually/Maze Runner… Despite there being dragons, I don’t really have an interest anymore.
THE JUDGEMENT: Go
Book #148
Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares (Dash & Lilly #1) by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan
Date added: December 4, 2016
Save this for a rainy day that I need some extra fluff, because I think it sounds super cute!
THE JUDGEMENT: Keep
Book #149
Steelheart (The Reckoners #1) by Brandon Sanderson
Date added: December 5, 2016
As much as I liked the first Mistborn book, I found the rest of Sanderson’s writing so….drab. I am convinced he isn’t for me.
THE JUDGEMENT: Go
Book #150
We Are the Ants by Shaun David Hutchinson
Date added: December 5, 2016
I don’t particularly like sad books unless its a romance..that just has you know its heartbreak that is inevitable to be remedied somehow. This sounds like it would destroy me. Not saying it’s probably not good, just that it isn’t for my reading preferences.
THE JUDGEMENT: Go
Starting TBR shelf total: 425
Total books kept: 2
I’m Curious \ ^_^ /
What do you think of my decisions? Have you read any of these books?
