This was originally made by Lost in a Story, and is such a fantastic idea. Here are the instructions:
Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
Order on ascending date added.
Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
Read the synopses of the books
Decide: keep it or should it go?
The Books:
Book #91
Inescapable (The Premonition #1) by Amy A. Bartol
Date added: July 24, 2016
*Record scratches* wait a second, is this Fallen? Is this Hush, Hush? Need I go on?
THE JUDGEMENT: Go
Book #92
Finnikin of the Rock (Lumatere Chronicles #1)by Melina Marchetta
Date added: July 29, 2016
The people who are trying to save the country aren’t a long lost prince or princess. Lets do this.
THE JUDGEMENT: Keep
Book #93
Sea of Shadows (Age of Legends #1) by Kelley Armstrong
Date added: July 29, 2016
You know, nothing in that synopsis makes me jump out of my seat to get to this book sooner, or ever. In fact, since it’s even tagged as paranormal rather than fantasy I am deterred from it more. No offense paranormal.
THE JUDGEMENT: Go
Book #94
Inception (The Marked #1) by Bianca Scardoni
Date added: August 1, 2016
You know, if this was just going to be about vampires I would probably still be for it. But since it involves angels, demons, witches etc. I am just going to pass on this one. I need a little bit more than some self discovery plot.
THE JUDGEMENT: Go
Book #95
Welcome, Caller, This is Chloe by Shelley Coriell
Date added: August 18, 2016
Hmmm, sounds like a self absorbed teen realizes life isn’t about her. Normally, I would keep a light hearted YA contemporary on the list to break up the monotony, but this doesn’t sound like any fun.
THE JUDGEMENT: Go
Starting TBR shelf total: 429
Total books kept: 1 out of 5
That was almost a close out! Dang, it almost makes me want to take off Finnikin just to get all 5 off my list, but that wouldn’t be right.
I’m Curious \ ^_^ /
What do you think of my decisions? Have you read any of these books?
