Weekly Spread

I know there are some people who like to have their months end properly with their weeks. So they have their final week of the month end on the actual end date, but I need to be able to see my tasks in one glance. Personally I don’t want to flip from page to page just to see Thursday-Saturday. So I end up with these weeks that are half of each month, but I am totally okay with that, and just have my Monthly pages after the initial start to the month.

I definitely wasn’t a big fan of the horizontal week, so I am back to columns. I am still very fond of this open unboxed concept right now. It also cuts down on time spent by not drawing out the boxes.

I am not very good at drawing, despite what people may think. It’s always quite daunting considering what the husband can do. My hack? Tracing. So the pages in the Leuchtturm 1917 are thick enough not to have a ton of bleeding, but thin enough to trace though.

Thank you Pinterest for this particular wreath doodle that I traced, I can’t remember where I got it from otherwise I would tag it (shame on me). Anyway, previously I had traced straight off my laptop screen which was great because it was back lit. The downside was feeling like I was stabbing my screen. Take two on this had me just pasting into MS Word and sizing the wreath to the size I wanted then printing it. Tracing gave me the basic outline I needed, and I was able to build off of that. Though, my build off was fairly minimal, because lets face it, I am just not that artistic.

I used my Staedtler Triplus Fineliner pens for some bold outlines and filled in with my Prismacolor color pencils. It was adult coloring via my creation.

I am hoping this month to keep track of my posting on here along with some of the other major things in my life. With the hecticness that is encroaching this should keep me up on making sure I keep up here and provide content for the blog. Also for the future will give me something to see what amount I could reasonably post. Now half of the posts page is fully with what I want to post, so fingers crossed that I actually follow through!

I also added in ARC’s under my to buy section to better keep me on track with what I need to actually put out this month at a glance. Those stinking ARCs sure put a bit of pressure on.

I’m Curious  \ ^_^ /

Do you freehand or trace your Hello monthlies? Or even any other art? How do you keep track of your posting? Social media?
